The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced on July 4 the continuation of its November 2012 finding concerning the dumping and subsidizing of steel piling pipe from China.

Last January the Canada Border Services Agency had determined that the expiry of the Tribunal’s findings was likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and of subsidizing of the subject goods.

The Tribunal found that a return of the dumping and subsidizing of the subject goods was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will continue to apply to imports of these products.
