The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review of its finding concerning the dumping and/or subsidizing of certain Carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei, India, Oman, South Korea, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. The Tribunal’s finding, in December 2012, imposed anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties on these goods.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by May 7, 2018, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping and/or subsidizing of the goods if the finding is left to expire.

In the event of positive determinations by the Agency, the Tribunal will determine, by October 15, 2018, whether the continued or resumed dumping and/or subsidizing is likely to result in injury to Canadian manufacturers.
