1976
Omnitrans’ journey began in a storefront office at the Port of Montreal, with four employees, a used typewriter and a desire to succeed.
1987
Omnitrans opened its first office in Toronto.
1990
Omnitrans Pacific is established in Vancouver.
1991
Omnitrans acquired TNT Ltd’s Ontario Customs Brokerage operation.
1994
Metro Customs Brokers, a division of Omnitrans was established to service the American market.
1995
Omnitrans began offering Truck Freight services.
1998
Omnitrans acquired Brown and Fortunato, a Vancouver Customs Brokerage operation.
2002
Metro expanded its US border operations to include Champlain NY, Buffalo NY and Blaine WA.
2003
Omnitrans’ International Freight Forwarding was established.
2007
Omnitrans acquired 360 Logistics, a Toronto-based International Freight Forwarder.
2013
J. René Hébert, a Quebec–based Customs Broker was acquired.
2016
Omnitrans celebrated its 40th anniversary.
2016
Omnitrans acquired Import Commodity Group, a U.S.-based Customs Broker, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
2016
Omnitrans China was established with offices in the three key distribution centers: Shanghai, Shenzhen and Qingdao.
