The Competition Bureau has proposed amendments to the List of Generic Names for Textile Fibres allowed on labels.

The additions will allow companies to use the following new fibre names on the labels of consumer textile articles.

Lastol – a type of olefin mainly used in apparel where stretch is desirable.
