The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has updated the Food export requirements library for Morocco.
Morocco has notified the CFIA of new certification requirements for the export of fish and seafood from Canada to Morocco. As a result of this, effective immediately, the current health certificate “Health Certificate for fishery products originating in Canada and intended for Export to Morocco” (CFIA/ACIA 5278) is no longer valid for the export of fish and seafood for human consumption to Morocco.
Shipments of fish and seafood to Morocco accompanied with the current certificate CFIA/ACIA 5278 may be held by Moroccan authorities.
A new export certificate is being negotiated and a notice will be sent via Listserv once available.
