After conducting a preliminary injury inquiry the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it determined that the evidence does not disclose a reasonable indication that the dumping of certain oil and gas well casing from Austria has caused injury to the domestic industry, but that there is evidence that discloses a reasonable indication that the dumping of the subject goods is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
The Tribunal's inquiry was conducted pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act as a result of the initiation of a dumping investigation by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
The CBSA will continue its investigation and will issue a preliminary determination by May 1, 2026.
Anti-dumping duties could eventually be applicable to certain imports of the goods under investigation.
