In February 2026 the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its order made in March 2021 concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain photovoltaic modules and laminates from China.
Following the Tribunals initiation, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) started it's expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of the goods.
The CBSA's investigation has now been completed and the Agency has determined that the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of such goods from China.
The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and will issue its decision by December 9, 2026.
