CBSA finds dumping would resume if duties expired on aluminum extrusions from China

Last November the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its order made in January 2020 concerning the dumping and subsidizing of aluminum extrusions originating in or exported from China.

Following the Tribunals initiation, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) started it's expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of the goods.

The CBSA's investigation has now been completed and the Agency has determined that the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and of subsidizing of such goods from China.

The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and has announced that it will issue its decision by October 1, 2025.
