Service Advisory – Immediate Routing Change Due to CJX Suspension

Dear Client,

Following our earlier communication regarding the suspension of the CJX service to Halifax, CMA CGM has advised that cargo originating from the Indian Subcontinent (including Bangladesh) will now connect via their INDAMEX service.

Under this revised solution, origin routings will remain unchanged.

For example, cargo originating from Chittagong will continue to move via feeder service through Colombo. The primary change is that shipments will now transit through New York instead of Halifax.

From New York, CMA CGM has increased the vessel capacity of their connecting shuttle service to Montreal to accommodate the forecasted increase in volume.

Upon arrival in Montreal, cargo destined for Toronto or Halifax will continue onward by rail accordingly.

Please find below a breakdown of the shipment legs for your easy reference.

  • Chittagong to Colombo à approx. 4 days from ETD

  • Colombo to New York à 30-32 days on India America Express (INDAMEX) service

  • New York to Montreal à 7 days on CMA's vessel operated CAGEMA service

The estimated transit time to Montreal is approximately 43 days.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
