Tribunal initiates review of expiry of anti-dumping duties on certain steel plate from Ukraine.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its order made in November 2020 to determine if the expiry of the order is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping of hot-rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low-alloy steel plate from Ukraine and if this would likely result in injury to Canadian industry.

In the first step of the review the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by January 2, 2026, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping if the Tribunal's order is left to expire.

In the event of a positive determination by the CBSA the Tribunal will determine, by June 11, 2026, whether the continued or resumed dumping is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
