Tribunal initiates review of expiry of duties on aluminum extrusions from China.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review of its order made in January 2020 to determine if the expiry of the order is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping or subsidizing of aluminum extrusions from China and is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.

In the first step of the review the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by April 24, 2025, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping if the Tribunal's order is left to expire.

In the event of a positive determination, the Tribunal will determine, no later than October 1, 2025, whether the continued or resumed dumping is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
